Caitlin Clark Makes WNBA History Again! | She Got Game Player of the Week
Some performances are unforgettable.
Then there are the ones that change the record book.
That's exactly what Caitlin Clark did this week.
The Indiana Fever star delivered one of the greatest offensive performances the WNBA has ever seen, scoring a career-high 45 points while adding 10 assists in a thrilling 110-107 victory over the Seattle Storm. In the process, Clark became the first player in WNBA history to record a 40-point, 10-assist game. She also set a new Indiana Fever franchise record for points in a single game and became the fastest player in league history to reach 200 career three-pointers, accomplishing the milestone in just 74 games.
The performance couldn't have come at a better time.
After missing games earlier this season with a back injury and working through a minutes restriction, Clark reminded everyone why she's one of the most exciting players in basketball. She played just under 30 minutes but completely took over when the Fever needed her most, knocking down clutch three-pointers, creating opportunities for teammates and helping Indiana close out an important win.
What continues to separate Clark isn't just the numbers.
It's the way she impacts the game.
Her ability to stretch defenses with deep shooting, make pinpoint passes and elevate the players around her forces opponents to defend every inch of the floor. Even on a night filled with historic statistics, Clark's focus remained on the team.
"We just wanted to get a win," she said afterward.
That simple quote says a lot about the Fever's young leader. Even after rewriting the history books, Clark's attention stayed on the only number that mattered most—the final score.
At just 24 years old, Clark has already become one of the faces of the WNBA, and performances like this continue to raise the standard for what's possible in women's basketball. Every time she steps on the court, there's a sense that fans could witness something special.
This week, they did.
For a record-breaking performance, historic milestones and another reminder of why she's one of the biggest stars in sports, Caitlin Clark is this week's She Got Game® Player of the Week.
